Lake Meade Municipal Authority

Meeting Minutes-July 8, 2024

 

Call to Order: Meeting was called to order at 6.00 P.M.

Roll: In attendance were William Bowker, Cynthia Simpson, Matt Robinson, Mitchell Highlands, Jim Murtaugh, Thomas Whitcomb, and Suzann Grim.

Minutes: The minutes from June 2024, regular meeting, were approved upon a motion by: Tom Whitcomb and seconded by Matt Robinson and passed unanimously.

Treasurers Report:  Account balances, bills, and expenditures for June 2024 were presented and approved upon a motion by: Matt Robinson seconded by Tom Whitcomb and approved unanimously.

Open Forum:  No residents in attendance.

Plant Operations Report:

  • Mitchell reported that the plant is running smoothly and has no issues to report. The service department has been working on a lot of service calls due to the holiday weekend.

Office operations Report:

  • Billing Totals: Sewer $176,470.00 Water $125,873.67 Total $302,343.67
  • 2nd Quarter bills due July 20, 2024.
  • During the month of July, we will start to transition over to the new meter reading software Neptune 360. The goal is to have the new software up and running for the 3rd quarter readings in September.

Employee Training:  Pa Rural Water Training dates and times were distributed. No training in our area is scheduled at this time.

Employee Vacation:

  • Adam Ebersole June 8-12
  • Mitchell Highlands July 29- August 2

New Business:

  • Jim Murtaugh representing Reading Township was approved and has agreed to serve on the LMMA Board to complete the five-year term previously served by John Biese.
  • Mathew Robinson representing Latimore Township resigned effectively July 2024.
  • On behalf of all the board members and staff we would like to thank John Biese and Mathew Robinson for the time they served on the LMMA Board.

Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 7.00 p.m. Upon a motion by Cynthia Simpson seconded by:  Matt Robinson and approved unanimously.
