Lake Meade Municipal Authority

Meeting Minutes- August 14, 2023

 

Call to Order: Meeting was called to order at 6.00 P.M.

Roll: In attendance were Matt Robinson, John Biese, William Bowker, Cynthia Simpson, Adam Ebersole, Mitchell Highlands, and Suzann Grim.

Minutes: The minutes from July 2023, regular meeting, were approved upon a motion by: Matt Robinson and seconded by Cynthia Simpson and passed unanimously.

Treasurers Report:  Account balances, bills, and expenditures for July 2023 were presented and approved upon a motion by: John Biese seconded by Cynthia Simpson and approved unanimously.

Open Forum:  No residents in attendance.

Manhole Project:

Lobar completed manhole replacement in a timely manner and service department was pleased with the process. Paving was completed on August 11, 2023. Lobar is scheduled in 2024 to start looking at the next round of manholes (20) for repair or replacements as they see needed.

Plant Operations Report:

  • The service department would like to discontinue services from Cintas as soon as the contract is up. Adam has already ordered a few items from another company to test out the quality.

Office operations Report:

  • Second notices sent out to 91 past due accounts.
  • Denk and Associates will be in the office on August 15, 2023, for 2022 Financial Audit.
  • Grinder Pump operation and maintenance reminder inserts will be enclosed in next quarter’s bills.
  • CDs purchased through Conte were renewed for another 6-to-12-month term with rates from 5.2 to 5.3%.

Employee Training: Pa Rural Training August 23, 2023, Suzann Grim

Employee Vacation: No vacation scheduled at this time.

Old Business:

  • Personal property policy will be reviewed and approved at the next board meeting.
  • A motion by Matt Robinson for a 3% salary increase for Jason Stevens 90-day evaluation, seconded by John Biese and approved unanimously.

Executive Session: Board went into executive session.

Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m. Upon a motion by Matt Robinson seconded by:  Cynthia Simpson and approved unanimously.
